Psychotherapy
Depending on your needs, I work in layers. The first layer is about the here-and-now aspect of your struggle. Here, we will work on more satisfactory relationships, decreasing, if not resolving, your mental health symptoms (depression, anxiety, trauma, etc.), or your professional struggles. We will work on your emotional internal dynamic, relationships (attachment theory, systemic theories), the changes you can make in your behavior, and your perception of them.
When you are ready, or are willing to, we can dive into the work on the source of what you are struggling with. This second layer is a deeper level of work. It will answer questions like: How did you end up developing your symptoms? What are their functions? Why did you repeatedly end up in the same situation? Does your struggle have a function or a meaning? What are the roots of your suffering? I explore these questions according to various psychoanalytic/psychodynamic schools of thought in which I have been trained in France.
Finally, I offer work on self-exploration and individuation. Here, I help people explore their internal world in the psychoanalytic tradition inspired by Jung’s and post-Jungians’ work. Any life crisis is a good entry point to explore the deeper levels of our psyche. This work can help us differentiate ourselves from outer and inner influences. We will explore your dreams, and fantasies, and pay attention to episodes of alternate states of consciousness, induced or not, and their content.
